More Evidence of Child Pornography Found at KC Area Priest's Residence
KANSAS CITY (AP) - Kansas City police have found images of a child on a computer at a residence of a priest who's been charged with possessing child pornography.
A search warrant shows that police found the images on a guest computer at an Independence priests' residence where the Rev. Shawn F. Ratigan lived before he was charged with three counts of possessing child pornography. Ratigan has pleaded not guilty to the Clay County charges. His attorney declined comment Tuesday.
The Kansas City Star reports that the search warrant shows that police examined computers at the Vincentian Parish Mission Center and found several emails under the name "sratigan" that contained thumbnail images of at least one child. Several images were taken from an angle that showed the child's exposed underwear.
