Mother and Son Killed in Car Accident
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A woman from Nevada, Missouri, and her son are dead after their sport-utility vehicle slammed into an oncoming tractor-trailer today near Clinton, Oklahoma. The victims were identified as 27-year-old Jacquline Moreno-Barnes and two-year-old Nathan Salvador Bobadilla-Ramirez. The mother was driving a Ford Explorer east on Interstate 40 when she ran across the median and slammed head-on into the truck. A five-year-old girl in the sport-utility vehicle was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition. The deadly crash is the latest in a series of multiple-fatality accidents across Oklahoma in recent days that have left 15 people dead. Eight others were killed in single-fatality crashes.
