Ms. Wheelchair USA
JEFFERSON CITY - One woman isn't letting her physical disability stop her from taking the crown.
The former Miss Wheelchair Missouri winner took the national Ms. Wheelchair USA title on Saturday.
Phaedra Olsen was paralyzed after she was hit by a drunk driver in 1996.
She now works with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and chose that program as her platform."We are still very powerful and outstanding, remarkable women and knowing that we're about to go forward and to be able to be an actie part of society and to be actually a very helpful part makes the difference," pagent winner Phaedra Olsen said.
Phaedra will be traveling around the U.S. to talk about the dangers of drunk driving.
