MU Construction Clears in Time for School
COLUMBIA - A majority of roads that closed because of campus construction projects have now reopened, just in time.
Campus officials hoped to get most of the projects done before students living in the dorms arrive on campus.
A steam tunnel project still blocks a portion of Conley Avenue near the Maryland intersection but should be finished sometime this fall.
There is also still a renovation project on Tate Hall across from speaker's circle but much of speaker's circle is already cleared and finished.
Construction continues on the new MU student center, but in front of the building work on the intersection of Hitt and Rollins, a crucial traffic point, is finished and cleared off.
Women participating in sorority recruitment begin moving in Monday. Students this year will fill nearly every dorm room there.
