MU Greek Community Decorates District
COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri Greek community gathered in downtown Columbia Thursday to help decorate for homecoming. Fraternities and sororities went to fourteen shops and restaurants throughout the District and covered them with black and gold balloons, paint and streamers.
Shakespeare's has participated in the event every year since it began in 2004. General Manager Tobias Epstein likes all of the spirit that is on display.
"I think it's great for the entire community, it kind of builds, a sort of, it's festive and it's something fun to do," said Epstein.
Homecoming leaders will judge the winners based on design and creativity.
The winner of Decorate The District will be announced on Sunday night, along with the overall winners of homecoming.
