MU Hosts Climate Change Conference
COLUMBIA - MU's Mizzou Advantage program hosted a conference Wednesday on how individuals can adapt to global climate change.
The conference featured speakers from across the country discussing the impacts of climate change on growing seasons, disease, energy consumption and water availability.
Keynote speakers included a consultant to the World Bank, a director for climate adaption from the University of Arizona and a consultant for the National Oceanography and Atmospheric Administration.
The conference was organized in an effort to raise awareness of what individuals can do to help the environment on a global, national and regional level.
The conference will continue until Friday afternoon with more discussions on climate change.
