MVC Men's Volleyball Team Beats Robert Morris

MARSHALL, MO -- The No. 8 Missouri Valley College Vikings men's volleyball team defeated Robert Morris University in the first game of the St. Ambrose Tournament in Davenport, Iowa.

The Missouri Valley Viking men's volleyball team was down early, but came back strong to defeat the Eagles in four sets 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, and 25-20.

Freshman Outside Hitter Justin Paquin finished with nine kills on 17 attempts. Freshman Outside Hitter Stan Bosovik who finished with eight kills, while Junior Middle Blocker Jake Haar had seven kills, four blocks, and four aces. Sophomore Setter Joao Gurgel contributed 19 assists, five digs, four blocks and Junior Setter Will McCracken had 12 assists six digs and three aces.

 The win improves the Vikings to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in MAMVIC play. Robert Morris drops to 1-2 overall. The Vikings will be in action again Saturday as they face Johnson and Wales at 10:00am and host team St. Ambrose University at 12:00pm.
