NEOSHO (AP) - Racial and religious unity were stressed yesterday during a service to remember victims of a deadly church shooting a week ago. About 200 people of various races and religions gathered for the service, held at the First Congregational Church. The service came exactly a week after three leaders of a Micronesian community were shot to death. The slayings occurred during a service the Pacific islanders were holding at the church. Eiken Elam Saimon has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. The Reverend Tom Thorne, the pastor of First Congregational, told those at yesterday's service that they were coming together as children of God. The service featured songs and prayers in the native language of the Micronesians, in Cherokee and in English.
