New Bloomfield Baseball Wins Class 2 State Title, 20-4

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.- In Thursday's Missouri Class 2 state championship game the New Bloomfield Wildcats buried their opponent in an avalanche of runs on its way to a state record 7th state baseball championship.

New Bloomfield used its powerful offense to set the Class 2 state championships record with 20 runs and 25 hits against Summit Christian at Meador Park.

Summit Christian took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but New Bloomfield, 19-4, scored three in the second and never looked back.

New Bloomfield added a run in the fourth and extended its lead to 8-2 in the fifth with a four-run inning.
The Wildcats plated another eight in the 7th innings.
