New Grant Links MU to Conference Rivals
COLUMBIA - MU, KU and the University of Texas share a common bond thanks to the International Institute for Education. It's called the Difficult Dialogues Initiative and the institute gave MU $30,000.
That brings total grant money to $230,000. MU received its first grant from the International Institute for Education in 2005.
The new goal of the program is to use this grant to help expand the difficult dialogues program to other colleges and universities.
The coordinator of this program, Eryca Neville, says these dialogues are important to sustain the university's function as well as maintain a productive society overall.
