New Social Security TV Ad Airs
So, at a Thursday morning news conference, Missouri Pro Vote unveiled its new TV ad that criticizes Bush's efforts to privatize Social Security. Missouri is one of the states airing the ad because of support for the president's plan from members of the state's congressional delegation.
"Congressman Hulshof and Senator Talent have both stood beside President Bush in the idea of privatizing Social Security," said Pro Vote organizer Ron Berry. "Simply privatizing Social Security is going to do a number of things, but one thing is it's going to add a trillion dollars to the debt."
Pro Vote and Americans United produced the 30-second ad, which started airing Thursday.
