Normandy woman charged in boyfriend's fatal stabbing
NORMANDY (AP) - A woman was charged in the fatal stabbing of her live-in boyfriend in Normandy following an argument.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported 23-year-old Keina Jackson was charged Saturday with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Police said Jackson stabbed 45-year-old Anthony Smith Friday evening.
Normandy Det. Sgt. Steve Whitworth said Jackson and a witness said the couple got into argument when Jackson's young son was throwing a cup around and Smith smacked him on the legs. They told authorities Smith told the boy to stop, but he threw the cup at Smith.
Whitworth said a physical fight between Jackson and Smith ensued, with both of them punching one another. Whitworth said Jackson got a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Smith. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not immediately clear if Jackson has an attorney.
