Northeast Columbia shooting leaves one in the hospital
COLUMBIA- A northeast Columbia shooting left a teenager with non-life threatening injuries Monday. Columbia Police Department officials said the 17-year-old victim is in the hospital.
The shooting happened near a home at the intersection of Elm Grove Drive and Brown Station Road.
Columbia Police Officer Clint Sinclair said two or three homes near the 3200 block of Elm Grove Drive were struck by bullets, but no one in those homes were injured.
Officers found a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting, but Sinclair said there are no known suspects at this time.
