LEXINGTON, Ky. — Mizzou Football lost its fourth straight game Saturday night, 40-34, despite scoring its most points since week one against Missouri St.

The 34 points scored by the Tigers (1-4, 0-3 SEC) were more than the total from the previous three games against South Carolina, Purdue and Auburn combined (30).

Missouri outgained Kentucky 568-486. Junior quarterback Drew Lock threw TD passes of 50, 58 and 75 yards. Lock also added a 48-yard completion to set up a 1-yard TD run, his first of the season.

Lock finished 22-of-42 for 355 yards and the four scores.

Kentucky (5-1, 2-1 SEC) scored on four straight first-half drives and led by double digits three times, but allowed Missouri to eventually tie the game at 27 late in the third quarter and 34 early in the fourth.

Austin MacGinnis' 53-yard field goal with 9:40 remaining proved to be the difference. Later in the fourth, Lonnie Johnson blocked Tucker McCann's 45-yard field goal attempt, setting up MacGinnis' 20-yard kick with 1:48 left that gave the Wildcats breathing room.

Turnovers did in the Tigers, as two fumbles led to two touchdowns for the Wildcats.

Kentucky senior quarterback Stephen Johnson finished 22-of-36 for 298 yards and threw touchdown passes of 14 and 64 yards. Running back Benny Snell Jr. contributed two touchdowns as well.

Missouri will need to win five of the final seven games to qualify for a bowl game. They visit No. 5 Georgia next week.
