AP-MO--Officer-Shooting,0070Off-duty officer shoots suspect ST. LOUIS (AP) -- An off-duty St. Louis police officer shoots a suspect in the Central West End. It happened early today. Investigators say the officer was outside a bar (at Delmar and Eastgate) when he heard gunshots. He ran to the scene. Police say one of the suspect showed a gun. The officer fired, striking the suspect in the ankle. His injuries are not considered life-threatening. (KMOV-TV) (Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
