Officers arrest man wanted by U.S. Marshals
COLUMBIA - The Jefferson City Police Department said it arrested a man wanted by authorities for assault with a firearm.
Members of the department's Community Action Team, or CAT, were told of a man in Jefferson City who the United States Marshals Service wanted for outstanding charges in St. Louis.
Officers found the car associated with the suspect, 24-year-old Isaac White, on Thursday night. Officers said they tried to pull the suspect over, but he sped off and a chase began.
Officers said they chased White on Missouri Boulevard to Kansas Street, and ended the chase in the 1000 block of Buena Vista Street. Officers arrested White without incident. He faces a charge of resisting arrest by fleeing, in addition to the outstanding warrant.
