JEFFERSON CITY - Jefferson City police are looking for a suspect after they say several shots were fired Thursday morning.

Officers arrived at the 1400 block of Elizabeth Street just after 10 a.m. in response to multiple calls of shots fired.

Officers on the scene located several shell casings and found one building had been struck by bullets. There were people inside the building, but no injuries were reported.

Authorities interviewed several witnesses but are still looking for a suspect. Anyone with information should call the Jefferson City Police Department at (573) 634-6400 or CrimeStoppers at (573) 659-TIPS.
