COLUMBIA - After receiving reports of a marijuana odor Monday afternoon, the Columbia Police Department responded and arrested two individuals on multiple charges.

After officers knocked on the door of an apartment in the 2400 block of White Gate Drive, Victoria Thompson (pictured) answered. After immediately smelling the marijuana odor officers detained Thompson.

While in the process of requesting a search warrant, Thompson attempted to pull away from officers however, CPD was able to detain her once again.

When officers obtained the warrant, they searched the home and seized marijuana, drug paraphernalia and three handguns, one of which was stolen. One of the three handguns was a loaded revolver discovered inside of a diaper bag lying inside a baby crib.

Thompson was then arrested on a $1,000 bond on two charges consisting of $500 for endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree and $500 for interfering with an arrest.

Nekeisha Williams, another resident, was arrested for receiving stolen property on a $4,500 bond after officers recovered a stolen hand gun from William's bedroom closet.

Two others, Lajuan Martin and Joseph Luckett were ticketed for the possession of controlled substance, marijuana, but were both released on a signature summons.

Police said two children were home at the time, a one-year-old and a two-month-old.

(Editor's note: This story has been updated to correct the location of the apartment from the "24000" block to the "2400" block, to change the word "attain" to "obtain" and to give more information on the children.)
