MORGAN COUNTY - Authorities said a Gravois Mills woman died in a one-vehicle car accident near Laurie, Missouri.

According to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Jessi Wells was traveling eastbound on Bass Point Road Wednesday at around 11 p.m. when her vehicle crashed.

Wells' vehicle traveled off the right side of the road when it struck a tree. She was transported to Lake Regional Hospital before being pronounced dead.

The crash report says Wells was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred. Her next of kin has been notified.
