One injured in St. Louis-area church fire
HANLEY HILLS, Mo. (AP) — St. Louis County bomb and arson investigators are investigating a church fire in Hanley Hills that left one person injured.
The fire at Mt. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church broke out around 10:30 p.m. KMOV-TV reports that smoke was pouring out of the building by the time firefighters arrived, and flames were visible through windows.
Most of the damage was to the second floor, but the sanctuary and a child care area sustained smoke damage.
The pastor says a church member suffered smoke inhalation. Details about the injury were not immediately available.
