One State, One Spirit Classic Ticket Information Announced

JOPLIN - Missouri Southern Athletics has announced ticket plans for the "One State, One Spirit Classic" presented by Leggett & Platt, Inc. The Classic will feature a men's basketball exhibition game between the Missouri Tigers and the Missouri Southern Lions at MSSU's Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin on Sunday evening, October 30.

MSSU Lionbacker Booster Club members and basketball season ticket holders will be able to purchase tickets beginning on Monday, August 1. Only those people who have joined the Lionbackers or have purchased MSSU season tickets for the 2011-2012 season will be able to purchase tickets on August 1. Remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 8. MSSU Students will be able to purchase tickets in the student section beginning the first day of classes, Monday, August 22 through the MSSU ticket office.

Reserved seat chairback tickets will be $20, with General Admission tickets available for $12. MSSU student tickets will also be $12. All game tickets will be sold through the MSSU ticket office. The MSSU ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8am until 5pm and can be reached at 417-625-9366.

For those fans who cannot attend but would like to be a part of the "One State, One Spirit Classic", virtual tickets will also be sold. These unique tickets will be available beginning August 8 and can only be purchased online at www.mutigers.com. Virtual tickets are $10 and all fans who purchase a virtual ticket will receive a commemorative souvenir ticket in the mail.

Proceeds from the exhibition game will be donated by Missouri Southern to support tornado relief efforts for MSSU faculty, staff and students in the wake of the devastating storm that hit the area on May 22.

More information on events surrounding this game including online auctions, a free basketball clinic for kids and more will be released at a later date.
