OSAGE COUNTY - An Osage County man is in jail after sheriff's deputies said he fled deputies for several days and then caused a standoff.

Sheriff Michael Dixon said he attempted to arrest Keith "Tuffy" Lansford Wednesday for violating his parole. Dixon said when he and Deputy Patrick Boatman attempted to arrest Lansford on Osage County Road 705, Lansford took off in a car, crashed it and ran off into a wooded area.

Saturday, after several days on the run, the Osage County Sheriff's department located Lansford while conducting narcotics investigations near Highway D in Osage County.

Sheriff Dixon said deputies identified Lansford at 386 Branson Lane, but when Lansford and several others saw the deputies, they ran inside a home and locked the doors.

Dixon said this prompted a standoff before deputies arrested Lambert. Sheriff Dixon said the deputies surrounded the home because they knew firearms were likely in the house.

Sheriff Dixon said Lansford faces ten years in prison for violating his parole. He said the violations occurred when Maries County Sheriff's deputies arrested him for manufacturing methamphetamines and unlawful possession of firearms.

Deputies also arrested Shawn M. Stubblefield and Ronald L. Stubblefield, both of Belle, Saturday. Shawn Stubblefield faces felony possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, hindering prosecution and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia charges. Ronald Stubblefield also faces felony charges for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

"Numerous law enforcement officers spent a lot of time working together in the days leading up to this investigation. I'd specifically like to thank Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Coby Holzschuh, the Troopers in Troop F Zone 12, and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group for assisting me in this intense investigation. Several agencies shared information and resources and their hard work alongside the Osage County Sheriff's Office resulted in a successful operation. Numerous firearms, suspected narcotics, and potentially dangerous criminals were taken off the streets." said Sheriff Dixon.

Dixon said Lambert faces charges additional charges to his parole violation stemming from the standoff. He said he faces distribution of a controlled substance, resisting arrest by flight and driving without a valid license charges. Dixon said the parole violation alone could lead to ten years in prison.
