Owls Finish Fourth in Eagle Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- The William Woods University men's golf team found the going a little bit tougher in the final round of the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational, but held on for a fourth-place finish over a strong field the 13-team tournament. The Owls shot a three-round total of 907 (304-298-305; +27) with Morgan Hough leading the way individually with a two-day card of 224 (73-77-74; +8). The Owls finished the tournament 18 strokes clear of current NAIA no. 4-ranked Northwood University-Florida.

Julian Taylor also recorded a top-20 finish for WWU, carding a three-round mark of 228 (80-72-76; +12) for a 16th-place tie. Chris Reinert finished with a total of 231 (78-75-78; +15) and J.D. Nash posted a total of 236 (73-84-79; +20) for the tournament. Andrew Davis rounded out the team scoring for William Woods with a total of 240 (89-74-77; +24).

Bobby Meyer competed as an individual for William Woods, finishing tied for 53rd with a three-round total of 242 (82-78-82; +26).
