Parts of south Columbia lose power
COLUMBIA - Around 1,600 Columbia Water and Light customers lost power Thursday morning following a malfunction in the area of Southampton Drive and Bethel Street.
Water and Light spokeswoman Connie Kaprowicz confirmed crews are on scene working to fix the problem, but said there's no estimate on when the work would be finished.
Some traffic lights have been affected by the outage; drivers should approach the area expecting possible delays at intersections with traffic lights.
(Editor's note: Columbia Water and Light confirmed around 10:50 a.m. the power outage is over.)
