Pine Lawn Officers Say They Were Targeted
PINE LAWN, Mo. (AP) - Police in the St. Louis County town of Pine Lawn believe officers were the targets of gunfire.
KMOV-TV reports that Pine Lawn officers were parked along Interstate 70 about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, using radar, when they heard a burst of gunfire. The officers opened their doors and say they heard shots pass above the squad car's roof. Police believe the gunfire came from an alley on the other side of the interstate. Five shell casings were later found.
No one was hurt.
