Police standoff in Moberly ends peacefully
MOBERLY — A standoff ended peacefully in Moberly after a man surrendered to police Wednesday morning.
Police went to a home on the 400 block of McKinley Avenue to respond to a first-degree assault call.
When police arrived, the man locked himself in his home. A negotiator from the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to the scene in attempt to resolve the situation.
After about four hours, the man finally surrendered to authorities, and police took a 35-year-old white male into custody.
Officers and investigators are still on scene attempting to get a search warrant for the property. The investigation is ongoing and names have not been released.
