Politicans Use Blogs to Reach Voters
Blogs are used for just about everything from personal diaries and posting photos to a way for professionals to communicate. A recent pew internet survey found that 32 million Americans are blog readers. And nine percent of internet users said they read political blogs "frequently" or "sometimes".
Blogs can be more than simple text on a page, many feature multimedia options that include photos and video diaries. There are directory sites all over the internet, like campaign-line-dot-com, that lists blogs by category, but most blogs are found by online word of mouth. Bloggers who link online readers to other blogs. And a website, technorati dot com, tracks whats going on in the blogosphere, or the world of blogs. Just by following key words like Missouri and politics. The site receives automatic notification of updates and monitors blog communities.
