Power outage affects MU Campus
COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri campus experienced a brief power outage on Monday afternoon lasting about 30 minutes.
The power went out at 2:17 p.m. and was back on at about 2:50 p.m.
"We were just having our regular practice here at the Rec-Center, so we were playing teams, and playing against each other trying to improve our technique and improve our capability against other teams, and then all of a sudden the lights went out and it was completely pitch black," James Bohnett, MU Rec Center member said.
IT reported a campus-wide outage at the Columbia data centers.
MU confirmed there were "several outages" and the cause was an electrical short.
