Prosecutors to join police at St. Louis homicide scenes
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Prosecutors in St. Louis will now join police at murder investigations, part of the effort to solve more homicides in the city.
KTVI-TV reported that 44 of the 64 killings in St. Louis this year remain unsolved.
Mary Pat Carl, lead homicide prosecutor for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office, is heading the team that will assist police at homicide scenes. Carl said being visible from the start will help build trust with witnesses.
