Public Hearing for Route K Project
BOONE COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation meets Thursday from 4-6:30pm in the Rock Bridge High School cafeteria to discuss plans to construct a shoulder lane for bicyclist on Route K. The lanes will be on both sides of the road stretching from Route 163 to the Katy Trail in McBaine. Officials say it will improve traveler safety, add more options for travel and promote tourism.
The cost of the project is estimated at $2 million. MoDOT plans the expansion along seven miles of Rout K and construction is slated to begin next year.
