Quick Goals Lead to Victory for Cougar Men
COLUMBIA - Three early goals helped the Cougars to a shutout victory tonight against visiting Westminster College.
The 4-0 win improves Columbia's record to 5-0-2 on the year.
In what was probably the fastest goal scored in the history of Cougar soccer, junior Rafael Ramos took a pass from Marko Paunovic off the blow of the whistle and unleashed a shot that immediately found the back of the net, just eight seconds into the match.
The Cougars outshot the Blue Jays 20-11.
Matt McKenna and Brady Wulff combined for the shutout with two saves between the two of them.
In the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, the Cougars remained at No. 9 for the second straight week.
