FINAL UPDATE

COLUMBIA - Drier air has actively killed moisture production over mid-Missouri. Atmospheric forcing from our jet stream has also held to our south, severely limiting production of organized precipitation.

Flurries and isolated light snow showers are still possible, but the main story for Saturday will be wind gusts up to 40mph and temperatures cooling throughout the day.

Untreated wet roads may still create slick spots, so please be mindful of hidden black ice. However, road crews have had ample time to treat main roads since the overnight rain was cut off.

Temperatures by 3pm will be in the middle to lower 20s with winds chills in the single digits and 10s due to winds gusting 30-40 mph.

Overnight, temps plummet to the upper single digits and wind chills fall into the negative single digits. Great news for Sunday as the wind will calm by daybreak. Temperatures will only warm into the lower to middle 20s on Sunday under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
