Reckless driver leads officers on car chase in Fulton
FULTON - A man avoiding arrest led Fulton officers, Callaway County deputies and Missouri State Troopers on a car chase Friday night around 11 p.m.
Fulton officers noticed the driver of a pickup, later identified as Clayton Craddock, after he made multiple traffic violations while traveling on Route HH. When officers tried to stop Craddock he led them on a vehicle pursuit on and off multiple roads in the city of Fulton and throughout Callaway County. During the pursuit, Craddock drove recklessly into oncoming traffic and threw various items from the window of his vehicle. He was later apprehended and was transported to the Callaway County Jail where his bond was set at $65,000.
Craddock was under the influence of narcotics. He was arrested for various charges including property damage, driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest by flight.
The investigation is ongoing and other charges are pending.
