ST. LOUIS (AP) - A new multi-modal transportation center in downtown St. Louis probably will be more expensive than earlier estimates. The new terminal, due to open next spring, will replace the downtown Amtrak and Greyhound stations, and provide access to the light-rail system, MetroLink. Project consultant John Roach says the center will cost three-million-dollars more than the 22-million first planned. The state is providing most of the money. Amtrak and Greyhound are also chipping in. The multimodal station is going in alongside the Civic Center MetroLink stop near the ScottTrade center.
