Residents unable to get to work because of storm damages
COLUMBIA - Columbia residents spent Tuesday morning cleaning up trees and fallen debris from overnight storms.
A tree fell on Donna Simmons' car and she couldn't get to work.
Simmons said she heard a large crash and looked out her window to see branches had fallen across her driveway and on top of her car.
"I underestimated the storm," Simmons said. "I wish I would have brought my car into the garage."
She was outside Tuesday morning cleaning up what branches she could lift and looking at the damages.
Simmons said she spoke with her insurance provider and the damages should be covered. However, she said the deductible would set her back.
