Road in danger of immediate collapse; now closed
COLUMBIA - Sinclair Road between Nifong Boulevard and Southampton Drive is closed to all traffic, because it is in danger of immediate collapse, according to Columbia Utilities.
A large cavity created by a failing storm water culvert has made the road structurally unsound.
The closure is expected to last between 7 and 10 days depending on weather and other conditions found.
Temporary repairs will begin Wednesday afternoon.
The storm water culvert was scheduled for replacement this fall.
Access to Mill Creek School parking and pickup areas will be maintained.
