Roads Become Impassable in Some Mid-Missouri Counties
PETTIS COUNTY - Low lying areas are under a few to several feet of water Thursday, especially on Route H and Route D near Sedalia and Hughesville.
Certain paths are impassable. A flash flood warning issued Thursday for Pettis county is in effect until 9 a.m. Other flash flood warnings have been issued for Gasconade and Osage County until 11 a.m., along with warnings for Miller and Morgan County until 10 a.m.
County resident Clyde Collins said he hasn't seen it this bad in years.
"I'm devastated because I can't go to work because water taken out the bridge. The storm left debris all over the place, 17 of my 22 acres are under water, at least by a few feet," Collins said.
Debris still covers most roadways in Pettis County with severe weather still to come, according to weather forecaster Eric Aldridge.
