Route NN Bridge in Boone County Reopens
BOONE COUNTY - A bridge on Route NN over Lick Creek in Boone County reopened Monday evening. The bridge is located three miles west of U.S. Route 63.
The bridge was closed in late June as a part of a bridge replacement project. The project is part of MoDOT's Safe and Sound Bridge Improvement Program. It plans to improve 800 of Missouri's in five years. Officials say they hope to finish the program by 2013.
The program includes 90 bridges in mid-Missouri. Officials say more than 470 bridges around the state have been improved so far.
