Royals drop another series, this time to big bats of Cleveland
CLEVELAND - The Royals latest series loss means the team's only won three series since the month of May.
The Indians took the lead early Wednesday and put the game out of reach in the 4th inning. Jake Bauers and Tyler Naquin both hit home runs to make it 4-0.
The Cleveland lineup has 45 home runs so far this month, which is the second most in MLB history, behind Baltimore in 2016.
The Royals tried to mount a comeback in the 9th inning, but to no avail.
Pitcher Trevor Bauer kept the Royals lineup quiet with his season-high of 12-strikeouts. The Indians took the series with this 5-3 win.
Danny Duffy will start for Kansas City on Friday in Toronto to open a four-game series.
