Run Raises Money For Theater Group
COLUMBIA - Thespians hit the pavement for the second annual 5k race to raise money for the Performing Arts In Childrens Education (P.A.C.E.) Theater Company.
Runners donated money for P.A.C.E.'s Arts in Health Production, an annual play the all-youth theater company puts on that focuses on healthcare with children.
P.A.C.E.'s artistic director Angela Howard says they already are working on this year's play, "The Yellow Boat."
"It's based on a true story about a child who was born with hemophilia and contracts AIDS through a blood transfusion. However, he uses art to deal with his illness," Howard says.
P.A.C.E. will put on the play in January. Theater classes at the company start next weekend.
