The Cole County judge's order applies to Tennessee-based First Data Solutions and Florida-based First Source Information Specialists. They run web sites where, for $110, you can buy records of calls to and from a cell phone by typing in the phone's number. Another $65 buys the name and address of the person who owns the cell-phone number. Attorney General Jay Nixon sued the companies and their executives, accusing them of illegally obtaining private telephone records. The restraining order bars the companies from selling Missouri phone records or accepting orders from anyone in Missouri.
