Search Warrant For Narcotics Leads to Arrest in Maries County
MARIES COUNTY - Two Belle residents are under arrest Sunday after a search warrant conducted by the Belle Police Department turned up controlled substances and drug paraphenalia.
The search warrant was executed on South Alvarado Avenue in Belle around 12:15 Sunday morning. While searching the house, officers located a large amount of controlled substances that appeared to be packaged for individual sale. Officers also located other drug paraphernalia inside the home that led them to believe that suspects were packaging and selling narcotics out of the residence.
Justin D Miller, 31, and Serena A Pierce, 32, were arrested for ossession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to the Maries County Jail and are being held on $62,500.00 bond.
Belle Police Chief Mike Dixon said that there were three juvenile children in the home during the execution of the search warrant. He said the children were released to a family member.
