Second arrest made in convenience store double shooting
COLUMBIA - Boone County sheriff’s detectives arrested a second suspect Wednesday morning in connection with a shooting that wounded two women earlier this month.
The June 18 shooting happened outside a BP Kwik Store at 5701 E. St. Charles Road.
The two women were taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and have since been released.
Deputies brought a 15-year-old male to the Boone County Juvenile Office on suspicion of Hindering Prosecution and Delinquent Behavior.
Authorities arrested Alyssia L. Thorpe, 20, of Jefferson City Tuesday on suspicion of Hindering Prosecution and Tampering with Physical Evidence regarding this case. Thorpe was released after posting a $1,500 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
