Second man charged in shooting death in central Missouri
MOBERLY (AP) — A second man has been charged in the shooting death of a central Missouri man.
Twenty-year-year-old Ethan Longbine, of Moberly, was charged Wednesday in Randolph County with second-degree murder in the death of 39-year-old Kevin McCuiston, of Boonville. He's also charged with first-degree armed robbery and armed criminal action. Bond is set at $1 million.
The victim's body was found last week in a home where emergency crews were called to put out a small fire.
Defense attorney Gillis Leonard questioned why a woman hasn't been arrested for her alleged involvement. Court records say Longbine was asked to bring the woman and Joseph Lee Kertz a gun so they could rob McCuiston. Longbine told authorities he and the woman left before the shooting.
Kertz was charged previously with first-degree murder.
