Sedalia man pleads guilty to illegal semi-automatic pistol
JEFFERSON CITY - A Sedalia man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to illegally possessing a gun.
Justin Lee Denny, 27, admitted to having a Kel-Tec .380-caliber semi-automatic pistol on Nov. 21, 2017.
Sedalia police officer who had been pursuing Denny found the stolen pistol, along with a black pouch that contained several plastic Ziploc bags, including one with suspected methamphetamine.
Denny has three prior felony convictions for possession of a controlled substance and two prior felony convictions for driving with a revoked or suspended license.
Denny could face up to 10 years in federal prison without parole.
