Severe Weather Leaves Roads Dangerous
COLUMBIA - With possible severe weather, the Boone County Office of Public Safety Joint Communications (PSJC) is advising drivers to be cautious in the rain.
PSJC say standing water on the road can result in vehicles hydroplaning. They advise slowing down and allowing extra space between the car in front of you. Areas where water pools in the road and low water crossings should also be avoided.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for many areas of the state, including Boone County, until 1:00 Monday morning. PSJC encourages residents to watch the news and NOAA weather radio for the latest weather information.
