Sex offender located in Iron County after police search
IRON COUNTY - Sex offender Joshua McFerrin was apprehended in Iron County Wednesday, according to Osage County Sheriff Michael Dixon.
McFerrin had been on the run since October 27, when authorities believed he removed a GPS monitoring ankle bracelet that had been tracking him since August.
Deputies initially attempted to locate McFerrin Oct. 31 with a search warrant in Bland, Mo. Sheriff Dixon said McFerrin was not found at that time, and the Osage County Sheriff's Office continued looking for him.
McFerrin also had active warrants from Franklin County for murder in the second degree, armed criminal action, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and escape from custody while under arrest for a felony.
