Sheriff: Drug bust leads to struggle, $150 thousand dollar bond
MILLER COUNTY - A Miller County man was in the county jail Monday, facing drug and resisting arrest charges.
The Miller County Sheriff's Department said Travis Simmons put up a struggle when deputies and Lake Ozark Police officers served a narcotics search warrant at his apartment.
A sheriff's statement said no one was injured in the struggle and the bag was recovered.
Deputies said they also found marijuana and items meant for distribution.
Simmons faces charges of delivery/distribution of controlled substances, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
He has a $150,000 cash or cash surety bond, along with a no bond warrant for probation and parole violation.
Simmons was on parole for burglary and stealing.
