Sheriff's Department Arrests Man for Possession of Meth
COLUMBIA- On Thursday at about 9:20pm, a Boone County Sheriff's deputy saw 46 year old Ralph Eugene Carter of Sturgeon exit McDonald's on Smiley Ln. As Carter walked through the parking lot, he saw the deputy and hid in a fenced area near the dumpsters. The deputy discovered Carter had an active warrant related to a Probation and Parole violation.
The deputy searched Carson and found a package containing methamphetamine and ecstasy. According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, the methamphetamine was packaged in a manner to suggest it was intended for sale.
Carter was transported to the Boone County Jail. He is currently being held without bond on the parole violation. Carter faces additional charges for possession of a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance. The total bond for the drug charges has not been set.
