Sheriff's deputies arrest man after Fulton high-speed pursuit
FULTON - The Callaway County Sheriff's Department said a man was arrested Tuesday after a chase through Fulton.
Deputies said Kaharri Ray, who is in his mid-twenties, was arrested Tuesday afternoon. A Callaway County deputy recognized Ray, who had a warrant out for his arrest, and attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Route F on the outskirts of Fulton.
Ray refused to stop and began driving recklessly and at high speeds.
The deputy pursued Ray into Fulton until he stopped at 7th and Hickman near Westminster College. The Sheriff's Department said Ray ran from the car and was arrested after a short foot pursuit.
The sheriff's department said the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Fulton Police were also involved in the pursuit.
Ray had outstanding warrants for burglary and assault charges with a bond of $25,000. Deputies said charges related to the pursuit were pending Tuesday afternoon.
